Diminished Light Training

Diminished light handgun training

Most attacks occur at night time or in diminished light conditions. Isn't it time you learned how to fight at night with your firearm?!?

Prerequisite for this course is our Basic combat handgun – NO EXCEPTIONS

This is a 5 hour course designed for the use of handheld lighting tools, weapon mounted lights and lasers. This course is for the experienced shooter. Shooter must be proficient with their firearm in loading, unloading, malfunction clearing and safety. This course will have a classroom portion to learn about lighting conditions, how the eyes work in diminished light, lighting tools, night sights, lasers, pros and cons of all the different types of sighting systems used in diminished light and much more.

Dry fire and live fire will start during daylight and run into the dark. Dry drills and live fire drills will consist of; lit conditions, diminishing light, no light, headlamps, flashlights and ambient light. We will have additional weapons available to try out weapon mounted lights and lasers. Targets will range from paper to steel and a combination of both. Expect to fire on average 350-400 rounds of ammunition in this course.

Equipment List:

  • One (1) open mind 
  • A Fighting Pistol
  • Handheld flashlight
  • Weapon mounted light (optional)
  • Weapon mounted laser (optional)
  • Spare batteries for your lights, lasers
  • Roll of Masking Tape 
  • 400 rounds of quality ammo 
  • Strong side belt holster 
  • Eye Protection 
  • Ear Protection 
  • Sturdy gun belt (double thickness, dept store belts are INFERIOR) 
  • Minimum of  3 magazines, if you use low capacity magazines consider bringing 4-6 magazines
  • Magazine pouch recommended but not necessary
  • Raingear (We shoot rain or shine)
  • Hat  
  • Knee Pads (Optional)
  • Water

 

Low light handgun gun course $150.00($50.00 deposit is required to hold a seat)

We can supply loaner weapons, ear and eye protection for free but you will need to purchase our ammunition for our weapons.

This is a 5 hour course designed for the use of weapon mounted lights on a fighting rifle. This course is for the experienced shooter. Shooter must be proficient with their firearm in loading, unloading, malfunction clearing and safety. This course will have a classroom portion to learn about lighting conditions, how the eyes work in diminished light, lighting tools, night sights, lasers, pros and cons of all the different types of sighting systems used in diminished light and much more.

Diminished Light Rifle and Handgun Transition course

Prerequisites for this course are Basic combat handgun, Basic combat rifle, diminished light rifle or diminished light handgun and Rifle to handgun transitions  – NO EXCEPTIONS. You must complete each of these courses in order to be eligible to attend these training courses offered by Delaware Tactical.

This is a 5 hour course designed for experienced shooters. (Experienced means a good working knowledge of your firearms, loading, unloading, reloading and malfunction clearing of both weapon systems) we will cover transitioning from the rifle to handgun, fixing malfunctions with both weapon systems, recovering back to the rifle correctly, mindset, awareness and many other tactical considerations all while using lighting systems with each weapon system. We will put you in several types of scenarios including; moving and shooting, use of cover and concealment, non-traditional shooting positions and much more.

We can customize a course for the students attending and meet their skill level in a challenging way. We are strict with the basic combat fundamentals and stress perfect practice. Expect to fire on average 200 rounds of handgun ammunition 200 rounds of rifle ammunition in this course.

Deposits are non-refundable, however we are willing to work with you to reschedule your course. When we receive your form, we will email you an invoice.
