Rifle and Handgun Transition course

Prerequisites for this course are Basic combat handgun, Basic combat rifle – NO EXCEPTIONS. You must complete each of these courses in order to be eligible to attend these training courses offered by Delaware Tactical.

This is an 8 hour course designed for experienced shooters. (Experienced means a good working knowledge of your firearms, loading, unloading, reloading and malfunction clearing of both weapon systems) we will cover transitioning from the rifle to handgun, fixing malfunctions with both weapon systems, recovering back to the rifle correctly, mindset, awareness and many other tactical considerations. We will put you in several types of scenarios including; moving and shooting, use of cover and concealment, non-traditional shooting positions and much more.

We can customize a course for the students attending and meet their skill level in a challenging way. We are strict with the basic combat fundamentals and stress perfect practice. Expect to fire on average 300 rounds of handgun ammunition 400 rounds of rifle ammunition in this course.

Equipment List:

  • One (1) open mind 
  • A Fighting Pistol
  • 300 rounds of handgun ammunition
  • Strong side belt holster 
  • Sturdy gun belt (double thickness, dept store belts are INFERIOR) 
  • Minimum of  3 magazines, if you use low capacity magazines consider bringing 4-6 magazines
  • A Fighting rifle (Bolt, lever, semi auto not limited to AR or AK)
  • 400 rounds of rifle ammunition 
  • Minimum of 4 magazines
  • Magazine pouch recommended but not necessary
  • Eye Protection 
  • Ear Protection 
  • Raingear (We shoot rain or shine)
  • Hat and sunblock 
  • Knee Pads (Optional)
  • Water

Course cost $225.00 ($50.00 deposit is required to hold a seat)

All registrations require a $50 deposit, please state if you would like pay in full. You can also call or text 302-222-7724 and we can take care of you. Deposits are non-refundable, however we are willing to work with you to reschedule your course. When we receive your form, we will email you an invoice.
